About this Game
Move Street Cricket brings the spirit of gully cricket (street cricket) to the PS3 using the PlayStation Move controller. Developed by Trine Games, it captures the casual, fun, free-form feel of backyard cricket with a set of quirky rules and motion-controlled gameplay.
You can play with a friend, using either the Move controller or a regular DualShock, across different street-style environments. There are six unique locations (like rooftops and alleys), and six teams with six players each.
Some special cricket “moves” and rules include:
- Cut-and-run
- Paddle sweeps
- Dilshan scoop
- Double wicket
- Last man standing
There are also mini-games like Sharpshooter, Time Buster, and Terminator that let you practice specific shot styles and challenges.
While the game concept is charming, several reviews noted problems with motion tracking — the Move controller doesn’t always map well to in-game swings, making batting difficult.
